CODE OF CONDUCT

1. Purpose

Urbanum is committed to fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful community for all its members. This Code of Conduct sets expectations for behavior at all Urbanum events, in our online spaces, our guild room, and other interactions within our association.

2. Expected Behavior

  • Treat everyone with respect and kindness.
  • Support an environment that is inclusive and free from discrimination.
  • Respect personal boundaries and consent in all interactions.
  • Engage in constructive discussions and be open to different viewpoints.
  • Follow all guidelines set by event organizers and university policies.

3. Unacceptabe Behavior

  • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation based on gender, ethnicity, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Unwanted physical contact, unwelcome advances, or invasive personal questions.
  • Disruptive, aggressive, or exclusionary behavior.
  • Excessive intoxication at events leading to inappropriate conduct.
  • Doxxing, sharing personal information without consent, or any form of online harassment.

4. Commitment to a Safer Community

Urbanum strives to create a safe and supportive space for all its members. By participating in our events and spaces, you agree to uphold these values and contribute to a positive and respectful community.

5. Reporting an incident

  • If you experience or witness inappropriate behavior, you are encouraged to speak with one of TREY’s harassment contacts, designated event incident coordinator, a board member, or submit a concern via the guild’s incident report form.
  • Urbanum will handle all reports confidentially and take appropriate action based on the severity of the situation.
  • Consequences to the perpetrator may include verbal warnings, removal from events, (temporary) suspension from activities, or suspension of their membership. 

6. Disciplinary actions

  • Urbanum always holds the right to remove an individual from a singular event, any other disciplinary actions will be taken according to Urbanum’s official rules:
    • “A member of the association can face disciplinary consequences if they have caused significant harm to the association by their actions, within the association or outside of it. The board has the right to decide on discipline measures to be taken. These measures can include oral or written warnings, ban from association services or ban from entering association spaces and events.”
